Orange Egypt is an established mobile operator in Egypt. The company wanted to expand their services to provide a full convergent service offering including fixed (ADSL) and mobile (3G / 4G) broadband services.

SOLUTION

With over 30M mobile customers Orange Egypt has an established base to upsell new fixed line broadband services to. In order to provide the optimal ADSL customer experience Orange Egypt wanted to deliver broadband controls, real-time notifications and quota management. Openet Policy Manager, Openet Data Fabric and Real Time Offer Manager (RTOM) delivers advanced user controls, real-time usage information, and a sophisticated channel for interaction with Orange Egypt’s fixed and mobile subscriber base. Orange Egypt has used Policy Manager and RTOM to drive leadership in data usage and fixed / mobile convergent offerings. Orange Egypt can apply a range of controls and real-time offers for fixed and mobile broadband services. These include:

  • Fixed Mobile Convergence policy controls: FMC triggered offers
  • Mobile policy controls: roaming bill shock controls, bundle management (threshold management with realtime notifications) and roaming bundle management
  • Fixed broadband policy controls: ADSL packages speed controls and user redirection managemeng
  • Real-time offers: social packages, upselling and rewards for 4G customers.

In addition the Openet solution is integrated with Orange Egypt app for push notifications and alert levels changes. Openet also powers the web based app for customer care to self-service.

RESULTS

Using Openet’s Policy Manager for both mobile and fixed broadband services provides centralised control and management for all services. It also provide the foundation on which to deliver innovative convergent bundling and hybrid fixed (ADSL) and mobile broadband services and offer management to enable upsell and increase revenues from convergent service offers.
