June 29, 2009 - Openet
|London, England – June 29, 2009 – Openet, the leading provider of Transactional Intelligence for the world’s largest and most innovative cable, wireless and wireline operators, has won the National Service Delivery Innovation award at the Global Telecoms Business (GTB) Awards 2009.The award recognises Openet’s partnership with Wataniya and the implementation of Openet’s Fair Usage solution, based upon its FusionWorks™ Policy Manager and Convergent Charging products.|
“We are delighted to have won the GTB award for service delivery innovation and are working to ensure that subscribers are provided the network performance they pay for. Operators have found a small number of power users are consuming increasingly larger volumes of network capacity resulting in network congestion and degraded user experience, leading to increased churn and rising network costs. This award addresses our efforts and achievements in helping operators control and monetize their networks .” Michael Manzo, CMO, Openet
Openet’s Fair Usage solution enables service providers to continually monitor subscriber usage in real time and define limits, which then offer the user an additional usage package or pay-per-use format. With the facilities to provide accurate data usage, visibility into data usage consumed and the opportunity to up-sell, Openet is able to offer the prospect of revenue increases and an improved customer experience.
The GTB Innovation Awards are now in their third year and are designed to honour innovative projects involving telecoms operators and service providers around the world, in association with their vendors and suppliers. The awards ceremony took place at the London Park Lane Sheraton Hotel in the evening of June 16th and attracted around 300 guests.
“We were impressed by the quality and number of nominations this year – the most we have ever had – so it was a special triumph to be one of the winners this year.” Alan Burkitt Gray, Global Telecoms Business
