Openet Real-time Offer Manager wins Overall Best New Offering at 2014 Fierce Innovation Awards

DUBLIN, Ireland – November 13, 2014 – Openet, a global leader in the supply of real-time BSS (business support systems), today announced that its patent-pending Real-time Offer Manager (RTOM) solution has been named best overall new product/service at the 2014 Fierce Innovation Awards. Openet was selected from more than 200 applications to win the coveted industry prize last night. Openet’s RTOM solution was also selected as the winner of the B/OSS category by a panel of judges from the operator community.
Openet’s recently launched RTOM solution enables operators to present contextually appropriate offers and promotions to subscribers’ devices in real-time. It combines a variety of sources of information to create context around each user – such as average monthly spend, remaining data allowance, and churn risk index score. From this information, an offer can be presented to the subscriber following a trigger event, for example either an inbound subscriber query, or a pre-defined network event (e.g. subscriber accesses Facebook). This approach directly contributes to more targeted, relevant and personalised offers reaching subscribers which radically improve operator upsell revenues.
A recent independent survey of global operators revealed that targeting subscribers with contextually relevant offers, that can be activated and purchased from the device, would increase global operator revenues by a staggering $47 billion.
