Openet Telecom Signs Global Alliance Agreement with CMG

Utrecht, Netherlands and Dublin, Ireland, April 23, 2000 - Openet Telecom, the world leader in convergent mediation, today announced a global alliance with CMG Telecommunications and Utilities B.V. (Utrecht, Netherlands). CMG is a global Systems Integrator and a provider of business information solutions, mobile messaging and billing products. This global alliance positions FusionWork™, Openet Telecom's convergent mediation solution, as one of the key components in CMG's next-generation billing solution.

FusionWork™ is the preferred convergent mediation component for next-generation mobile and broadband communication providers, offering the ability to enable billing of voice, data, entertainment and other content-based services. CMG has already integrated FusionWorks™ with their Wireless Service Broker system and have demonstrated real-time mediation and billing based on volumetric criteria (for example, the quantity of data downloaded) and content for mobile users. CMG will also integrate FusionWorks™ with the EPPIX Customer Care and Billing system to further extend the capabilities of this global billing solution. Other proof-of-concept demonstrations in the pipeline include integration of real-time mediation and billing with an online gaming portal and an internet-based content distribution system for the publishing and education markets.
