Dublin, 14th May 2003, Openet Telecom, a world leader in real-time charging and convergent mediation, today announced the first phase deployment of FusionWorks™ Mediation at Orange Slovensko. This deployment, which includes licensing and professional services support, represents a further high-profile contract for Openet Telecom based on its world-wide contract with the Orange group. The implementation of FusionWorks Mediation will support Orange Slovensko's move towards a unified and future-proof architecture offering accelerated service deployment and revenue assurance from current and new service offerings.
This primary deployment is for voice mediation from Alcatel. It also includes a training project for Orange Slovensko's engineers, designed to transfer knowledge on deploying and maintaining FusionWorks, allowing them to manage and deploy future applications of the Openet solution. This deployment is part of an overall project plan to deliver a long-term, cost-effective solution which will unify Orange Slovensko's network architecture.

Signed in December 2002, the Orange-Openet agreement is a three-year framework contract under which Openet is the recommended supplier of convergent mediation solutions to Orange affiliates. This contract was signed after a year-long due diligence process, as a result of which FusionWorks Mediation was selected as the preferred solution for Orange group affiliates. Under the contract, each Orange affiliate is expected to agree individual deployment plans with Openet.
