October 18, 2011 - Openet

BOSTON, MA and DUBLIN, Ireland - October 18, 2011 - Allot Communications Ltd. (NASDAQ: ALLT), a leading supplier of service optimization and revenue generation solutions for fixed and mobile broadband service providers worldwide and Openet, the most innovative provider of Service Optimization Software to tier one communications and media service providers, today announced successful interoperability testing between Allot Service Gateway and Openet’s Online Charging System, designed to enable mobile operators to evolve their prepaid charging environments into real-time revenue engines. Complementing the success of their existing integration between Openet's Policy Manager and Allot Service Gateway, which has already been deployed by a number of operators, the joint solution now offers a comprehensive intelligent policy and charging enforcement solution.

The 3GPP compliant joint solution is designed to operate in the world's largest networks. By integrating granular traffic detection and analytics with usage and content-aware charging capabilities, the solution extends existing prepaid environments into next generation networks and subscriber services. The joint solution enables service providers to introduce new, personalized mobile charging models, such as Service Tiering, Over-The-Top Application-Based Charging, On-demand Bandwidth (Turbo Boost) for applications such as streaming video, and Per Application Time-based Charging, used to implement use cases such as ‘off-peak happy hour’.

“Through this alliance, Allot and Openet enable operators to drive new revenues by deploying personalized service plans,” said Lior Moyal, Allot’s Vice President of business development.  “With this joint solution, operators will be able to evolve their approach to charging and put a price tag not just on bits and bytes, but on the quality and value of the user experience.”

“This is the latest step in a relationship that is consistently producing cutting-edge technology that allows operators to dynamically generate revenue,” said Apollo Guy, global VP of business and market development for Openet. ”With a focus on enabling personalized services, the tight integration of solutions from Openet and Allot is a game changer for our current and existing customers. With charging capabilities inherent in this solution, we’re taking policy to an entirely new level.”
