US carrier selects Openet for signalling management

July 17, 2012 - Openet

A tier one US mobile operator has selected Openet Interaction Gateway from transactional intelligence system provider Openet for signalling optimisation. The signalling control service works by using Openet Interaction Gateway to coordinate communication between the operator's Policy and Charging Control (PCC) systems and a specialised Interaction Agent that provides on-device signalling management. Interaction Gateway is also the platform for Openet's Subscriber Engagement service, which provides a channel for interaction between operators and subscribers.

Within this service, Interaction Gateway coordinates communication between PCC infrastructure and a subscriber-facing application for real-time access to customer account data (usage, spend and remaining balances), as well as to information regarding available services.
