Policy Management – Openet Expands Loyalty Programs for Policy Management

March 29, 2011 - Openet

Openet, known for providing Subscriber Optimization Software (SOS (News - Alert)) to communications and media service providers, has recently expanded its Loyalty Programs solution to include a promotions management and in-session promotion decision engine.

Openet's (News - Alert) enhanced Loyalty and Promotions Solution includes real-time promotions functionality that enables service providers to drive targeted revenue creation and reduce churn through real-time interaction with subscribers.

"Targeted promotions can go a long way in driving subscriber adoption of new services, and this engine goes one step further by enabling operators to cultivate and maintain loyalty through customized programs," said Michael Manzo (News - Alert), CMO of Openet. "By providing transparency into subscriber behavior and creating custom campaigns based on targeted data, operators can become smarter while serving happier subscribers. This drives revenue, longevity and market traction -- a must for today's service providers."

According to Openet, the expansion of the Loyalty Program brings powerful campaign creation tools to communication and media service providers, enabling development of targeted, rewards-based campaigns stemming from real-time subscriber behavior, historical usage and subscriber profile data.

Subscribers can be targeted for promotions based on criteria such as gender, age and interests. Programs can then be set to run for any specified length of time. Next, the solution can notify operators and users when reward levels are reached, driving additional usage.

Openet also recently hosted a webinar, "Using Real-Time Charging to Drive Innovation and Loyalty" on Tuesday, March 29. The webinar discussed emerging trends and practices for pre-paid subscribers, and the role of charging as an enabler of marketing and promotion.

The panel included Chris Hoover, vice president of product management at Openet, Benoit Hanssen, CTO of 3 Indonesia and Tony Poulos, BSS Evangelist for TM Forum (News - Alert). The webinar was moderated by Joseph Waring, group editor for Telecom Asia. For more information on the webinar click here
