Openet, Cisco Codify Reseller Pact

Openet, which offers Service Optimization Software (SOS) to Tier 1 communications and media service providers, says Cisco Systems signed a global reseller agreement for Openet’s complete product suite, which includes Policy Manager, Convergent Charging, Network Edge Rating, Balance Manager, Profile Manager and Convergent Mediation, all running on Cisco Unified Computing System (UCS).
Joint deployments last year at Turkcell and at Meteor Ireland along with sales to Japanese, Austrian and Dutch operators were behind the new deal, which includes a comprehensive set of reseller terms covering commercial and technical services as well as support models. Cisco now can to sell, deploy and support solutions built on Openet’s software products globally, thus increasing Openet’s worldwide reach and placing Openet’s 3GPP-compliant products within a suite of Policy and Charging Control (PCC) solutions. These solutions include Cisco’s LTE, fixed-mobile convergence, M2M, video and cloud initiatives.??Openet integrates with the following Cisco products: ASR 5000, CSG, CSG2, SCE and eGGSN. Additionally, Openet supports Cisco’s Mobile Packet Core 2.0. Openet says it was the first to bring combined policy and OCS capabilities to Cisco’s Interoperability forum.?
