With over 5M subscribers, T-Mobile is one of the largest operators in The Netherlands. With LTE being launched in 2013, they wanted a charging solution that would enable them to monetize the opportunities that LTE can provide. This required providing real-time rating and charging for all customers – regardless if they are pre-paid or post-paid subscribers. The network also wanted to get new products to market faster to give them a competitive edge with the ability to react quickly to customer and market advances.
Openet supplied their Evolved Charging product, with Real-time Rating, Charging, Centralized Offer Catalog, and Profile Manager to enable T-Mobile Netherlands to:
- Provide centralised real-time charging solution for Post-paid, Pre-paid customers for data, voice, RCS, LTE and all IMS services
- Provide a wide range of flexible, dynamic pricing models including national data passes and family plans
- Provide differentiated quality of service (QoS) as a marketing offer
T-Mobile Netherlands can now offer real-time rating and charging for post-paid and pre-paid subscribers, providing subscribers with full transparency and a high level of control of their spend and data usage. Evolved Charging will also act as the converged IMS charging platform for all services post launch, as voice and messaging are migrated from legacy charging systems. This enables convergent, real-time charging to all customers which can drive sophisticated charging models & fast launch of innovative services.
