Niall Norton joined us in March 2004 as CFO before becoming CEO in 2006. A winner of the European Entrepreneur of the Year in 2012 and the Ernst and Young Entrepreneur of the Year in 2011, Niall has steered Openet to become the one of the world’s leading BSS providers and the largest software company in Ireland. Prior to joining us, he served as CFO of O2 Ireland from 2001 to 2004. Niall holds a degree in Commerce from University College Dublin and is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Ireland.
Joe Hogan is Openet's founder. He has served as Chief Technology Officer since the company was founded in 1999. Joe is the principal architect of Openet’s product portfolio and has over 25 years of software engineering experience. Joe is responsible for technology innovation at Openet with oversight over Openet’s CTO architecture office; Openet’s Intellectual Property office, which manages the creation of Openet's patents portfolio; and Openet Labs, a software research group based in Ireland and Malaysia from which new Openet products emerge.
Joe serves on the Openet Board of Directors as executive director along with CEO Niall Norton and is also a joint recipient, with Niall, of European Entrepreneur of the Year for 2012 and the Ernst and Young Irish Entrepreneur of the Year for 2011. Joe holds an advanced diploma in Computer Science from Dublin Institute of Technology and a B.Sc (Hons) in Computer Applications from Dublin City University.
Apollo Guy joined us in 2006 and currently serves as our Global Vice President of Corporate Development . Prior to this, Mr. Guy held a number of positions with us, including Global Vice President roles in Business Development, Product Management, Market Development, and Alliances and as Vice President of Sales, Americas. Prior to joining us, Mr. Guy held senior management positions at Rogers Communications, Inc. from 1992 to 1995, Bell Canada from 1995 to 1998, CSG Systems International, Inc., a provider of business support solutions and serves to communication service providers, from 2003 to 2006, Lemur Networks, Inc., a provider of standards-based, delivery and management of dynamic IP services for broadband service providers, from 2001 to 2003 and Futureway Communications, Inc., a provider of telecommunications and high-speed Internet services from 1998 to 2001. Mr. Guy holds a B.B.A. in Marketing and Finance from Simon Fraser University and is a member of the Society of Cable Television Engineers.
Niall Byrne joined us in 2004 and currently serves as our Global Vice President, Customer Production Systems Engineering and Support since April 2011. Prior to this, Mr. Byrne has held a number of positions with us, including Vice President, Product Development and Software Development Manager.
Mr. Byrne holds a B.S. in Science from University College Dublin and M.S. in Information Technology from University College Galway.
Michael O'Sullivan joined Openet in 2003, and currently serves as our Global Vice President, Engineering since May 2013. Prior to this, Mr. O'Sullivan has served in a number of roles for Openet, including Executive Director of the Openet Labs research and development group, and Director of the systems engineering group.
Before joining Openet, Mr. O'Sullivan held a number of senior technical and management positions at Aldiscon, Logica, Aersoft and AOL. Mr O'Sullivan holds a B.Sc in Applied Computing with first class honours from Waterford Institute of Technology.
Paul Bouwmeester joined us in 2010 and currently serves as our Global Vice President – Human Resources as of 2013. Mr. Bouwmeester previously held the positions of Vice President – Global HR from 2011 and Director – Human Resources NAR/CALA from 2010. Prior to joining us Mr. Bouwmeester worked for Tier Technologies, a publicly traded electronic payment processing firm in Reston, VA, USA as VP – Human Resources, and Deloitte Consulting as Regional HR Director for the APAC region in Hong Kong, SAR.
Mr. Bouwmeester has worked extensively in human resources, finance, and professional services in Europe, North American, South East Asia, the Middle East, the Russian Federation and the Caucasus. Mr. Bouwmeester holds a Bachelor of Business Degree (BBS) from Dublin City University, Ireland; is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in the Commonwealth of Virginia, USA, and holds senior HR certifications in both the United States (SPHR), and Ireland (GIPM).
Barry Marron is the Global Vice President of Marketing for Openet. Barry joined Openet in 2009 and ran the Company’s PR and analyst, marketing operations and product marketing teams before joining the Openet leadership team in 2015. As GVP of Marketing Barry ensures that Openet’s marketing sets the industry standard and ensures that the Company is seen as a leader and innovator in the market.
Prior to joining Openet, Barry worked in IT and communications companies in Canada and Ireland. Barry is a graduate of Dublin City University’s Bachelor of Business Studies program.
Jon Ross joined Openet in April 2010 and currently serves as our Global Vice President of Product and Solutions Management. Prior to this, Jon has served in a number of roles for Openet, including Director of Product Management and Solutions Delivery Director in our Alliances group.
Jon has nearly 20 years’ experience working in telecommunications for operators and ISV’s, working on OSS/BSS projects and products in England, New Zealand and Ireland. Jon holds an honours degree in computer science from Durham University, England.
Sohil Sami joined us in 2001 and currently serves as our Global Vice President of Professional Services. Prior to this role, Mr. Sami held a position of Vice President of Professional Services focusing on the North and Latin American markets.
Mr. Sami has more than 20 years of experience in the delivery of strategic software projects for Telecommunications providers, Cable companies and other software customers across both North and Latin America. Mr. Sami holds a B.A in Economics from George Mason University.
Damian Artt is the Global Vice President of Sales for Openet. Damian joined Openet in 2016 and brought with him more than 20 years of experience in direct sales, channel sales, and operations. Prior to joining Openet, Damian served as SVP Worldwide Sales at MobileIron. Preceding this role, he served as President and General Manager of Polycom Americas. Damian joined Polycom after eight years at Wind River, where he served as SVP of Worldwide Sales and Services. Damian earned a BSc in Electrical/Electronic Engineering from Queens University, Belfast.
Eoghan joined Openet in 2005 and has worked in finance in telecoms for over 20 years. In Openet Eoghan has worked in CFO and financial planning roles. Prior to joining Openet Eoghan worked in O2 Ireland where he managed regulatory finance as well as financial reporting. A fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Ireland, Eoghan holds an honours degree in Commerce from University College, Dublin.
