The brain of the FusionWorks™ Framework, the Business Rules Engine (BRE) provides the capability to provision comprehensive, flexible business logic into the rules used by the Correlation and Transaction Engine (CTE) to process network usage events and manage session transactions.

The BRE is the source of FusionWorks™ unlimited flexibility, providing an environment in which to develop business logic using Openet’s customized, standards-based scripting language – Data Stream Decoder (DSD). Logic can be written natively in DSD – the most flexible and controlled method – or via a graphical interface that automatically generates logic based on browser-based inputs.
