Openet Delivers Two New Apps for Risk Reduction

Openet announced two new applica-tions aimed at helping service provid-ers ensure a positive customer experi-ence and reduce the risk of unpaid bills by managing limits for voice and data transactions. The new applications, Spending Limits and Credit Controls, work with the company’s FusionWorks Product Suite.

Spending Limits enables users to limit the data usage ceiling and set thresholds based on time, amount or cost of usage. As new data content becomes available and consumers initiate more mobile data transactions, there is more need to bal-ance the desire for this content with the reality of voice and data service plans and spending.

The Spending Limits application enables access to a customer self-care portal to view and set limits across individual services, and allows custom-ers to identify current balances in terms of money, minutes or bundles. It also pushes notifications of impending limits to customers and enforces cutoffs once the desired ceiling is reached.

The Credit Controls solution enables real-time management of service balanc-es from the service provider perspective.
