Niall Norton joined Openet as CFO in February 2004 and was appointed CEO in September 2006. His experience ranges from key roles in manufacturing, corporate finance, telecommunications regulation, and wireless telecommunications operations. While his background originates in corporate finance, he subsequently spent several years as CFO with O2 (Ireland), the country's second wireless operator, having joined that company at startup. His responsibilities there included financial planning and control, corporate finance and project management, including successful SAP implementation, enterprise-wide Euro-impact planning for O2 Ireland (Digifone), and the O2 Ireland WLAN and E-Enablement projects. Niall took the lead management role for the Ireland element of the British Telecom Wireless de-merger and the IPO of O2. Niall holds a degree in Commerce from University College Dublin and is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Ireland.
Joe Hogan is the founder and CTO of Openet. The principal architect of Openet’s FusionWorks based products and solutions, he has more than 20 years of software engineering experience. He represents the company in the IETF, 3GPP, IPDR.org, and GBA forums and frequently speaks at and chairs conferences throughout Europe, Asia, and North America. Joe was a senior architect with Sun Microsystems's European kernel development center before leaving to found Openet.
As Chief Marketing Officer, Michael Manzo oversees all aspects of marketing and product management. Prior to joining Openet in July 2006, Michael worked in the Enterprise Solutions group at Nokia, where he consulted on M & A integration and marketing of enterprise mobility solutions. Michael has also held executive positions at Traverse Networks (acquired by Avaya), Omnisky (acquired by EarthLink), Telocity (acquired by Hughes DirecTV), and Notify Technology Corporation. Michael has a BA in Journalism from the University of New Hampshire.
Eoghan Donnelly joined Openet in September 2006 as Financial Accountant and has now taken the role of Chief Financial Officer. Prior to joining Openet Eoghan had 7 years experience of the Telecommunications Industry working as Financial Reporting Manager in O2 Ireland as well as dealing with regulatory compliance issues. Previously he worked in the insurance industry in the International Financial Services Centre Dublin and the Isle of Man. He trained as an Accountant with Horwath Bastow Charleton and is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Ireland. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from University College Dublin.
Apollo Guy, Vice-President of Sales and Alliances—Americas, is responsible for the sales of Openet products in North America, Central America, and South America. A 20-year veteran of the cable and telecom industries, he has held senior management positions with Rogers Cable Systems, Bell Canada, CSG Systems, Lemur Networks, and Futureway Communications. Apollo has a BBA in Marketing and Finance from SFU in British Columbia, Canada, and is a member of the Society of Cable Television Engineers.
Philip Hogan brings more than 12 years of telecommunications engineering and sales experience to Openet.. He previously was North Eastern America Sales Director and European Sales Manager at Euristix. Prior to that, Philip worked at Retix (Vertel), Cara Communications, and Amdahl Computers. He graduated from Dublin City University with an Honours B.Sc. in Computer Applications.
Shane O'Flynn became Vice President, Client Services when Openet created the division in late 2006. He previously had been Vice President of Product Management, a software architect in the CTO office, and a project manager in Professional Services. Shane has worked with Openet for seven years and has been involved with the product design and implementation of the entire FusionWorks product line. He has 15 years experience working in IT, 10 of those in telecommunications. Before Openet he helped to build a successful Billing Services Bureau for Tier 2 and Tier 3 telcos in Europe while working for EDS Corp. He has worked on a wide range of billing, mediation, and CRM projects for more than 20 telecoms companies worldwide. He represents Openet at the TeleManagement Forum and has spoken at many conferences in the US and Europe. He is a graduate of University College Dublin and has a B.Sc. in Computer Science and Psychology.
Since joining Openet in December 2002, Juliana Su has helped grow the Americas Professional Services group, where she is now Vice President. She has 18 years of experience in International Consulting services management—identifying business opportunities, growing profitable companies, developing software, and managing people, products, and projects across multiple countries and organizational functions—and has spent 14 years designing and implementing rating and billing solutions for Tier 1 service providers. Juliana previously was a senior member of the Kenan Systems/Lucent Technologies/CSG Systems Consulting Services management team and a Principal with American Management Systems, Inc. She holds degrees in Chemical Engineering and Economics from the University of Colorado.
Cyril Dolan joined Openet in 2005 and became Vice President of Professional Services—EMEA/APAC in 2006. He has more than 19 years of telecom experience, with a strong technical and management focus in Professional Services OSS software. Prior to joining Openet, he was Vice President of Engineering with PXIT and a senior manager with Euristix. After FORE Systems/Marconi acquired Euristix, Cyril become Development Director for Network Management of broadband switching products for Marconi. He holds degrees in Computer Science and Business from Dublin's Trinity College.
Jim Chadwick joined Openet in June 2006 as Director of Professional Services in CALA working with Openet customers in South America. In March 2007, he transitioned into the role of Global Director of Operations, holding that role until April 2008 when he assumed the role of Vice President, Global Operations. Jim’s primary areas of responsibility are managing and implementing internal operational processes and procedures across the enterprise as well as managing the staffing levels for Openet’s Professional and Client Services engagements worldwide. Jim has more than 20 years of Technical and Managerial experience, having spent the 7 years prior to joining Openet with Cingular Wireless (Formerly AT&T Wireless Services), as well as 11 years with The Boeing Company. His roles ranged from Senior Technical Manager to Director, IT Mediation. He holds a B.S. Degree in Business Management from Montana State University and a M.S. Degree in Information Systems Management from Seattle Pacific University.
Mary Kirke has extensive experience in Human Resource Management in the Irish IT sector. Prior to joining Openet, she spent 20 years with Cap Gemini Ireland, where she was instrumental in establishing their HR function. This, combined with her experience of developing and instituting extensive HR policies and procedures, has given Mary a uniquely thorough perspective on all aspects of human resource management in the Irish software business. Her recent experience has focused on the HR issues relating to rapid expansion and internationalization. Mary is qualified Chartered Institute of Personnel Development. |
