FusionWorks Convergent Mediation was selected by BT Global Services and BT Wholesale to deliver circuit-switched mediation for their global operations. More recently, Openet’s FusionWorks has been selected by BT as their strategic mediation and charging solution for their 21CN rollout.
AT&T Mobility has partnered with Openet to support delivery of its multimedia messaging services (MMS) and short messaging services (SMS). This includes instant messaging, corporate email access, text messaging, game and ringtone downloads, photo sharing, and wireless Internet access.
AT&T Wireless selected Openet FusionWorks as the foundation for its business support systems. The company replaced its proprietary 2G/GSM system with the Openet Convergent Mediation solution in order to mediate current GPRS and data services and future mediation and regulatory requirements. This confidential and innovative project involves a unique application of mediation to respond to a regulatory challenge emerging for many wireless operators offering data services.
With over 50 million subscribers, Verizon Wireless is North America’s leading wireless communications provider. Operating the continent’s largest wireless voice and data network, Verizon Wireless provides voice and data services via a CDMA network, a joint venture of Verizon Communications and Vodafone. Verizon Wireless deployed the Openet Convergent Mediation solution to support its mobile IP billing and reporting in one of the largest mediation deals of its kind.
Telstra, Australia’s number one carrier, deploys Openet FusionWorks to enable enhanced revenue generation from its wireless networks. Currently, Telstra has more than 4 million wireless subscribers; provides traditional phone services to more than 8.7 million residential and small business customers; and is the country’s leading ISP.
Omnitel Lithuania (part of the TeliaSonera Group) is the largest telecommunications company in the Baltics. The service provider use FusionWorks Convergent Charging and FusionWorks Network Edge Rating across the operator’s two million-strong subscriber base. The combined solution from Openet has been used to increase pre-pay data usage control with consistent and seamless service regardless of individual plans, while enabling Omnitel to quickly deploy new revenue generating tariffs, promotions and services.
