Senior Trainer

ROLE SUMMARY
The Trainer role addresses two specific needs:

Training Preparation
The trainer is responsible for liasing with the Core Product Engineering group to obtain information required to develop training materials on all aspects of the Product.  The trainer will also utilise Technical Specification Documents and User Manuals to ensure that training materials are written to the highest possible standards. 

Where possible, the trainer will develop practical exercises that will test the understanding of course attendees.  This may also extend to the development of Case Studies or Tests to be used as and when required

Training Delivery
The Senior Trainer will be expected to delivery Training Programs / Modules in accordance with Client requirements and according to a published Training Schedule.  From time to time the Trainer may be required to deliver training at a destination specified by the client. 

Additionally, the trainer is responsible for all technical training required by internal Openet employees.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Training Preparation

  • Design of Training Courses in line with Training Strategy
  • Design of Training Schedule
  • Liase with Product Engineering Group for information on new product functionality
  • Creation of documentation (presentations and manuals) for each Training Module
  • Design Course Tests to check for understanding
  • Ensure actions are taken to incorporate feedback from clients into training materials and training delivery
  • Help to design and implement Training Website

Training Delivery

  • Set-up of training room, PC’s and Accounts in preparation for planned training
  • Delivery of Technical Workshops for internal employees
  • Delivery of Technical Training for internal employees, clients and partners
  • Delivery of training onsite at client premises (if and when required)
  • Request all candidates to complete training evaluations on all courses attended

General

  • Attendance at Training and Support Weekly Meetings
  • Contribute to the design of training processes
  • Design of Training related Templates and Forms
